Carbon Literacy for 11-18 year olds

Speak Carbon believes young people deserve to be part of the climate conversation. Solving the climate crisis is not the responsibility of the younger generations. Understanding the issues though, can help them feel empowered to get involved in climate action and protect their mental wellbeing.

Speak Carbon has developed one of the first Carbon Literacy courses specifically for school students ages 12-18. This course can be delivered flexible in a time-frame that suits the class and timetable. On completion the young people will gain a globally recognised Carbon Literacy certification, along with the skills and confidence to talk to their peers, family and communities about climate change.

For more info on the different ways we can deliver Carbon Literacy in schools, read our case studies on Sir Henry Floyd Grammar School and Sir John Deane Sixth Form College.

Our accredited ‘Carbon Literacy for 11-18 year olds’ course is now available for Carbon Literate educators to deliver to school and college students free of charge. Get in touch to find out more.
