Speak Carbon have been offering our Training Professionals course since 2023, and have supported scores of trainers to develop their confidence and skills when delivering Carbon Literacy training.

As our approach to delivering climate learning as trainers has evolved, so have our ideas around how to best equip other trainers with the skills they need to deliver the best sessions they can.
With that in mind, we are launching our new Train-the-Trainer offer Teach Carbon. This aligns the offer with our approach to developing Carbon Literacy courses via our two-session Learning Carbon and Speaking Carbon programme, and brings together everything we’ve learned over the past few years as we continue to develop as trainers ourselves.
The new course will be delivered over 3 half days online. In that time we will guide you through:
How to create a safe space for participants to discover the facts and complexities of the climate crisis.
An in-depth exploration of the importance of accessibility and inclusion in training.
Skills and tips on how to manage timekeeping in a training session.
How to manage challenging participant behaviours.
How to meet the needs of a wide range of participants.
The importance of continual development and self-reflection as a trainer, and how to do that well.
How to prepare fully for delivery.
Techniques on running activities and facilitating discussions.
The opportunity to put all you’ve learned into practice and deliver Carbon Literacy content relevant to your interest or sector.
This programme forms part of The Carbon Literacy Project’s trainer pathway and is suitable for anyone working towards their CLF and CLT accreditations, as well as existing trainers looking to develop or refresh their skills.
