Our first pledge of 2026 is from our ongoing work with law firm Osborne Clarke.

I wanted to uplift this pledge this month, because we all urgently need to be thinking and talking about the way we use AI. The discussions in the media about the ethical (or all to often unethical) use of this burgeoning technology are desperately needed, but what is often missing from these conversations is the environmental impact of the tool. This pledge highlights the importance of developing sustainable behaviours when using AI now, so we can carry these forward and build on them as it becomes more embedded in our everyday lives.
It’s no surprise this project keeps generating such high-quality pledges – it’s one of our longest running programmes, and has become somewhat of a gold standard by which all other projects are measured.
