July’s Pledge of the Month is from an officer at Arun District Council.
We’ve been working with Arun DC since early 2023 and have delivered some fantastic sessions with leaders, officers and elected members across the council throughout that time.
We were particularly impressed by this pledge because it is so collaborative, engaging organisations from outside of the council to work together to enact real, meaningful change. Air quality is a serious issue for many parts of the UK. Including schools and community organisations in the effort to improve air quality is a really powerful way to reduce emissions and bring these groups into the climate conversation.
We delivered five cohorts of Carbon Literacy training for Arun DC and this is just one of some really fantastic pledges we received during the project.
