Our Carbon Literacy and other handprint – December 2023

We’re delighted to share with you the amazing number of people we’ve worked with to date, in the form of Speak Carbon’s first infographic.

What better way to summarise what we’ve been up to since we registered Speak Carbon Collective as a Community Interest Company in 2021, than our achievements collated in a design inspired by The Carbon Literacy Project’s monthly update?

We have several ongoing projects still in progress and looking forward to starting some new ones in the coming year, so we’ll keep updating our infographic and sharing it with you.

Some Words from Other People

Here are some of the responses to posting this infographic on LinkedIn:

Phil Korbel, direct and co-founder of the Carbon Literacy Project said, “The numbers are only part of the story here because Speak Carbon’s approach is so special. Super ethical in their work and processes and, crucially, whip smart about enabling the sum to be greater than the parts in mobilising training capacity from beyond their team to secure bigger contracts. Looking forward to an amazing 2024 with them.”

Julia Bena, former Responsible Business/ESG Manager, at City & Guilds commented, “Fantastic work Speak Carbon!”

Some of our trainers also shared their thoughts about working within Speak Carbon.

Ned Gatenby, our lead trainer-the-trainer with our Training Professionals programme reposted with these words, “Speak Carbon is such a great thing to be part of. Rewarding work meets brilliant workplace culture. Looking forward to everything to come in 2024!”

Michelle Marks wrote, “It’s been an amazing journey so far. Not only do I work with a wonderful group of colleagues, who all care about each-other’s wellbeing, but also we’re all a part of creating a better way of working, something really special, at Speak Carbon.

That’s something I’ve never had the privilege of being involved with in my career to date. I’m looking forward to 2024, where we’ll continue our work of raising climate awareness and #CarbonLiteracy in this exceptionally supportive environment.”

To all our existing Clients

Thank you to all those organisations who have worked with us to date. It’s an honour to be continually building on your climate awareness journeys with some of you.

One more thing…

You may be wondering why the title includes the word ”handprint”? That’s because whilst carbon footprint refers to our own emissions, our handprint relates to the influence created with the people who gain climate knowledge. Understanding this influence forms part of the Carbon Literacy Education Toolkit which we deliver to universities and colleges.

What next, you ask?
