This month’s Pledge of the Month comes from an open course we ran with Town and Parish Councils earlier this year.
For those of us working in climate, it’s easy to think that everybody already understands the situation and that figuring out what to do about it is the big piece of work to do.
I’ve chosen this pledge though, because it highlights the reality that we see again and again in our sessions. The truth is that so many people still don’t fully understand the climate crisis, or how the extreme weather we’re all seeing is connected to our lives, decisions and systems.
This pledge is so brilliant because it speaks to the importance of continually making that learning accessible to as many people as possible for as long as is needed.
