June’s Pledge of the Month is from Osborne Clarke. A regular feature on PotM, our work with Osborne Clarke is one of our longest-running projects.
This pledge is from an in-person session I ran in London back in March. Gervan’s idea to support colleagues to reduce their requests for replacement IT kit caught my eye, because it’s a great illustration of the important of ensuring people are able to make informed decisions.
It’s easy to assume that people know the consequences of their choices, but often it’s not the case. We’re all so focused on our own things – whether that be specific job remits at work, or the demands on us in our wider lives. This can mean we’re not really aware of the bigger picture or the impacts our actions are having outside of our own spheres.
Having people around us with the capacity to give us additional information about our choices can mean we’re able to make informed decisions about our behaviours.
