Mike Bonsall of Treligan has been a friend of Speak Carbon’s since the very start. Mike and Pete were working together on some other sustainability projects when the idea of setting up a training collective first started to form.
Since then, Mike and Treligan have widened their scope and have done work on various sustainability projects across the UK, focusing on research into a range of areas including biodiversity net gain and public sector decarbonisation.
More recently, Treligan and Speak Carbon have reconnected and formalised our partnership with collaborations on several pieces of work, including the government’s Local Nature Recovery Strategy.
Biodiversity is so inextricably linked with climate change, and its really important that when we develop decarbonisation plans, we’re doing so while centring nature protection and recovery. That’s why we are so excited to be working with Treligan on the current projects they’re running, and looking forward to collaborating on future work as well.
Mike had this to say on our new partnership:
“We’re really happy to be working with Speak Carbon again on a range of projects, and have already benefitted from their expertise in relation to creating the conditions for effective climate action. On a lot of the recent work we have been doing on nature recovery, climate policy is being ever more closely integrated by local authorities, agencies and other public organisations and this collaboration will let both parties adopt a more holistic approach in their respective focus areas.”
